RUSSIAN ROULETTE by Nessa Barrett

“RUSSIAN ROULETTE” is one of the sadder songs on Nessa Barrett’s album “AFTERCARE”. The song is about how risky loving someone else can be, and how love can blow up in someone’s face even if they didn’t do anything themselves. The song was included on the album to even out the amount of heavy and sexual songs with something a bit lighter. …when we revisited it, it just felt right and I feel like the project really needed that because there’s so many love songs, but they’re very hot and heav...

RUSSIAN ROULETTE lyrics

I don't need to know
The odds that we survive
I'd still hold you close
Like the sharp edge of the knife
Finally, I'm not afraid to die
As long as you're the last love of my life
Darling, I would risk it all for you
Betting on a hand, I was bound to lose
Deal me in again 'cause it hasn't killed me yet
Love can turn a red, heart black, and blue
I'd still play the game if you asked me to
Hoping for the best with a gun against my head
Russian roulette
If you gotta go
Put the blindfold on my eyes
I'll hold on to hope
'Cause I love the way she lies
Finally, I'm not afraid to die
As long as you're the last love of my life
Darling, I would risk it all for you
Betting on a hand, I was bound to lose
Deal me in again 'cause it hasn't killed me yet
Love can turn a red, heart black, and blue
I'd still play the game if you asked me to
Hoping for the best with a gun against my head
Russian roulette
Don't know what you will get
Love is Russian roulette
Don't know what you will get
(Hasn't killed me yet)
Don't know what you will get
Love is Russian roulette
Don't know what you will get
Love is Russian roulette
