Thursday by The Weeknd

Artist: The Weeknd

Genre: Pop

Length: 5:20

The titular track from Thursday provides insight into the meaning of the title, showing that Abel’s feelings or actions drastically change toward this girl from day to day. On other days of the week, he doesn’t mess with this girl at all, but on Thursday, they hook up after rolling, getting high, and drinking. She seems to be the girl that he cheats on because she is ignorant of Abel’s activities throughout the week, but she desperately wants to be his “Lonely Star.”

Thursday lyrics

I love her, today
Cause it's Wednesday, I won't be late
I don't need to know if you're feeling when I'm free
Not on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday
Sunday but on Thursday... Thursday
Not on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday
Sunday but on Thursday, make sure you are thirsty
Ohhhh on Thursday, baby get ready ohhh on Thursday
Woaahoooh hold it ohh on Thursday,
Just wait on Thursday, baby only Thursday
Girl I try, Girl I try
I've been here for too long
Baby don't cry
Why are you calling again?
But It's not Thursday, baby why you calling?
Not on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday
Sunday but on Thursday... Thursday
Not on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday
Sunday but on Thursday, make sure you are thirsty
Ohhhh on thursday, baby get ready ohhh on Thursday
Woaahoooh hold it ohh on Thursday,
Just wait on Thursday, baby only Thursday
Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday
