“Ojos Tristes” is a dreamy, emotional song by Selena Gomez, benny blanco, and The Marías, blending soft indie pop with Latin influences. The title means “Sad Eyes” in English, and the song explores the quiet pain of missing someone, wishing things were different, and feeling stuck in that in-between space of love and goodbye. Even though the lyrics are sad, the song feels warm and comforting, like it understands exactly what you’re going through,💭💞

Ojos Tristes (with The Marías) lyrics

No, it's not hard to see
That you probably feel worse than me
It's not your fault I have to leave
Please don't you look that way, baby
Those sad eyes, sad eyes
You know I don't wanna say goodbye
Don't cry, don't cry
Just hold me for one last time
El muchacho de los ojos tristes
Vive solo y necesita amor
Como el aire necesita verme
Como el sol lo necesito yo
El muchacho de los ojos tristes
Ha encontrado al fin una razón
Para hacer que su mirada ría
Con mis besos y mi gran amor
Han pasado dos años
Te sigo pensando en todos mis sentidos
Antes eran tus ojos lloviendo en otoño
Y ahora son los míos
Cómo cambió, amor
Felices éramos los dos
Y ahora lloro, por Dios
Tristeza en mí amaneció
El muchacho de los ojos tristes
Vive solo y necesita amor
Como el aire necesita verme
Como el sol lo necesito yo
El muchacho de los ojos tristes
Ha encontrado al fin una razón
Para hacer que su mirada ría
Con mis besos y mi gran amor
