In 2018, Billie Eilish recorded and produced a cover of Canadian rapper Drake’s 2015 track, “Hotline Bling,” which was initially uploaded to her official SoundCloud that was soon made available to buy physically with her 2017 track, “party favor,” in a 7-inch pink vinyl format. The song’s popularity rose again due to many people making fan edits and emotional videos on TikTok, which was the leading factor in the rerelease of the cover onto streaming platforms.
